Yaneli Petrocelli has been part of the Vision Is Priceless team since 2014. After spending nearly two years as a Vision Screener, she recently moved into a Program Specialist role.
Active in the community since moving to Jacksonville in 2007 from her native Panama, Petrocelli has been involved as a volunteer with several organizations that provide services to the individuals and families, giving her the opportunity to work with adults and children of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.
From 2009-13, she volunteered at The Way Clinic in Green Cove Springs, a clinical partner of VIP, working as a translator and referral specialist. In 2010, she received VIP’s Frances B. Kinne Award, which recognizes an individual’s faithful participation in sight-saving programs for Vision is Priceless.
In 2007, Petrocelli enrolled as an international student at Florida State College of Jacksonville and earned her associate degree. In 2016, she graduated from the University of North Florida with her Bachelor of Science in health.
Petrocelli enjoys her family walks on the beach with her husband Marco, son Ian, and dog Neo.
