Marley Curtis just recently joined the Vision Is Priceless team as a Program Specialist in November 2016. She conducts screenings for both the children’s and adult programs in addition to handling case work.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Curtis attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts with a specification in vocal music. She went on to continue her music studies after high school and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in music from Florida Atlantic University in 2016. During college, Curtis worked part-time teaching music lessons to adults and children for guitar piano, and voice while attending school.
Curtis returned to Jacksonville upon graduation, where she accepted a temporary grant-funded position with United Way of Northeast Florida as a Community Builder, helping to run their annual United Way workplace giving campaign. At United Way she functioned as a member of the resource development team by providing assistance to corporations in planning and executing an employee giving campaign among corporate executives, employee groups and volunteer groups. Through this position, she volunteered with a variety of local organizations that help assist the underserved and underfunded people within Northeast Florida.
Marley currently lives in the Avondale area. She enjoys studying music, hanging out with her friends and rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
