Jami Gaff Bueker joined Vision Is Priceless as the agency’s Executive Director in August 2016.
A seasoned professional with more than 20 years experience in nonprofit development, human resources and finance, Bueker recently served as Director of Development for Runwell, The Linda Quirk Foundation and for Jacksonville Country Day School, where she led all fundraising efforts for both organizations.
Prior to JCDS, Bueker was the Chief Development Officer at Hubbard House for nearly 10 years from 2004-13. As a senior executive for the agency, she spearheaded fundraising efforts for the agency’s $4.2 million operating budget. At Hubbard House, she was directly responsible for securing numerous grants and created one of the agency’s most well-known events, the Domestic Violence Awareness Walk.
Before venturing into the nonprofit field, Bueker worked in private business as the Human Resources Director for InMotion Pictures. At InMotion Pictures she was responsible for the companies’ employee policies and procedures in addition to personnel recruitment and selection. She still maintains her credentials as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
She started as a Small Business Banker for Barnett Bank of Jacksonville in 1995, where she was responsible for developing small business relationships. In 1997, she ranked in the top 25 percent of Barnett Small Business Bankers for 1997.
A native of Jacksonville, Bueker attended Episcopal School of Jacksonville and graduated with a bachelor of business administration, majoring in accounting, from Mercer University in Macon, Ga. She also earned her master’s degree in family, youth and community sciences with a concentration in nonprofit organizational development from the University of Florida.
She currently volunteers as a board of director for Promise to Kate, a local nonprofit to fund research for Myotonic Dystrophy (DM), an underfunded and often misdiagnosed form of Muscular Dystrophy. Bueker also serves as the treasurer for the Hendricks Avenue Elementary School Parent Teacher Association. Bueker lives in San Marco with her husband Paul and daughters Sophia, 8, and Abby, 6.
