Eric Scott joined Vision Is Priceless in September 2016 as the agency’s Marketing and Development Director. At VIP, Scott is responsible for overseeing the growth of the agency’s brand and leading fundraising efforts.
Prior to joining the VIP team, Scott was the Director of Public Relations for professional soccer club, the Jacksonville Armada FC. In his two seasons with the club, his efforts helped set two league single-match attendance records and garnered consistent coverage in local, national and international media.
Before venturing into professional soccer, Scott established and oversaw marketing communications for Contractor Connection, North America’s largest independent network of contractors and subsidiary of Crawford & Company, a publicly-traded, multi-billion dollar company. In his time with Contractor Connection, his marketing efforts helped increase revenue and set a new attendance record at the company’s annual national conference.
Scott also spent time as a fundraising and public relations professional with nonprofit Children’s Home Society of Florida from 2012-13, where he set a new fundraising and attendance record for the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, Caring Chefs. Prior to CHS, he spent time in the marketing department with The Florida Times-Union from 2010-12 and led promotional efforts for Jacksonville’s No. 1 website at the time, Jacksonville.com, and led a surge in online sales for newspaper subscriptions.
Scott began his career in the sports industry with stints on the Jacksonville Jaguars communications (2009), University of North Florida media relations (2007-09) and University of Northern Colorado media relations (2004-07) staffs.
Born in St. Louis, Scott grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colo., a suburb of Denver, and graduated with a bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communications from the University of Northern Colorado.
He lives in Jacksonville with his wife Ashley, daughter Ashlyn (3) and two dogs, Slash and Roxy.
