Anna Ulyanenkova joined Vision Is Priceless as the Program Coordinator in July 2016. Her responsibilities include scheduling vision screenings, ensuring screening day preparedness, building partnerships with new schools and community organizations, and screening kids and adults at schools and public events.
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Ulyanenkova moved to Chicago when she was 8-years-old. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. During college, Ulyanenkova volunteered with Loyola 4 Chicago. This exposed her to challenges faced by underserved populations and inspired her commitment to helping others.
After graduating from college, Ulyanenkova completed a term with the National Health Corps Florida AmeriCorps Program, serving with the Florida Department of Health in Clay County. There she helped patients in the Healthiest Weight Coaching Program lose weight and manage their chronic conditions.
She has been an active member of her community since moving to Jacksonville. In addition to serving with AmeriCorps, she volunteered with the Tobacco Free Jacksonville Coalition and the Healthy Food Florida Campaign. She currently serves with Volunteers In Medicine.
Ulyanenkova enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching documentaries in her spare time. Her family lives in Tampa.
