The Vision Is Priceless Council is committed to preserving the vision of First Coast citizens through screening and early detection of potential eye disease. The voluntary non-profit organization was founded in 1996 and provides vision and glaucoma screenings absolutely free to the community. Screenings help identify problems as early as possible for those at risk for eye disease. When screenings detect potential problems, clients are referred to their eye care professionals for proper treatment. The agency also provides eye care education and injury prevention programs

Programs include Children's Vision Screening, Adult Vision Screening, Cared Vision Network, and In-Service Training for Primary Care Physicians and Pediatricians.
