Ashlee Brown was first introduced to Vision Is Priceless through FSCJ’s Vision Education and Rehabilitation Center. When she was 15, she was diagnosed with Stargardts, which is an eye disease characterized by a juvenile macular degeneration of the retina. As a result, she is legally blind. Through the center’s Low Vision/Education Program, Brown interned with Vision Is Priceless throughout the summer of 2017. Brown started her current part-time position as an Administrative Assistant in August 2017.
Brown is currently enrolled at FSCJ in the medical billing and coding program. Once she finishes the program, she hopes to get a degree in culinary arts because she loves to cook and bake. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and watching football with her dad. She lives with her parents, her 2 younger sisters Nicole and Noelle, her younger brother David, and her older brother Najee in Orange Park.
